The Bicol Consortium for Health Research and Development proudly congratulates Mr. Francis Ignatius L. Nieva of the Partido State University for winning 3rd Place in the Oral Research Presentation Competition - Professional Category during the 19th Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Week Celebration held on 11-13 August 2026 in the City of Koronadal, South Cotabato.
His award-winning study, "Explaining Excess Stunting Burden in the Philippines: A Provincial Benchmarking Framework Integrating Poverty, Food Deprivation, and WASH Condition", highlights how integrating provincial data on poverty, food deprivation, and WASH conditions can help policymakers pinpoint geographic inequities and direct targeted interventions to reduce severe childhood stunting burdens across the Philippines.
BCHRD also extends its warm congratulations to Engr. Angelo H. Furing for representing the consortium in the Consortium Poster Competition. Reaching this stage demonstrates creative vision and presentation skills in promoting health research.
