Fourteen (14) health researches from all the regions were presented. The topics are diverse, which include both the physical and the social sciences.  Dr. Maria Graciela Garayblas - Gonzaga, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Sto. Tomas provided the synthesis and recommendations for the 14 researches.

In spite of the many challenges confronted, the Autonomous Region in Muslim  Mindanao - Health Research Consortium (AHRC) held its Streamlining Activity last October 19 - 21, 2010 at Davao City.

Regional Secretary Fradzkhan Ilaji of the Department of Science & Technology (DOST - ARMM) encouraged everyone to take and be part of the AHRC activities in order to strengthen the consortium and to improve the lives within the region.

Furthermore, the said activity was graced by different government and academic institutions including those in the island provinces.

The newly established MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) Health Research and Development Consortium (MHRDC), signed its Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with member institutions last November 5, 2010, at the Richmonde Hotel, Pasig City.

MHRDC's primary objective is to strengthen the system of collaboration in Region IV-B to develop and enhance the capacity of institutions within the region engaged in health research as a strategy to improve the health conditions of the people.
