During the 12th PNHRS National Conference Awarding ceremony, the BCHRD bagged Second place in the Capacity Building  Committee Poster Exhibit Contest among the 17 regional consortia. The contest aimed to showcase the consortium’s good practices on capacity building initiatives/strategies/projects in the region. As BCHRD's entry, the two (2) new programs of the consortium has been highlighted, the Bicol Health Research Training and Development Program (Bicol HeaRT) and the Bicol One-System for Health Research Environment (B10Share). Both programs aims to increase research capability of the region by empowering new and budding researchers and guiding them along the course of research writing.

The BCHRD received a certificate awarded by UP-Manila Chancellor, Dr. Carmencita Padilla-David, UP-Baguio Chancellor Dr. Raymundo D. Rovillos and DOST-PCHRD Executive Director, Dr. Jaime C. Montoya and a cash prize amounting to Twelve Thousand Pesos (Php 12,000.00). Congratulations BCHRD!
