The Department of Science and Technology- Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD) is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the DOST-PCHRD- Undergraduate Thesis Grant in Natural Products.
The search is open to all undergraduate students of Colleges of Pharmacy, Chemistry, Nursing and Health and Allied Sciences who have thesis proposals on natural products in the current school year
A thesis grant amounting to Fifty Thousand Pesos (PhP 50,000.00) will be given to two (2) thesis proposals per region. In addition, an incentive of PhP 10,000.00 will be given to the advisers of the qualified thesis studies which will be given upon completion of the project and submission of the required deliverables.
Deadline for submission of nominations to the consortium is on May 31, 2019, and deadline for submission of endorsed proposals to PCHRD is on June 10, 2019.
The Department of Science and Technology- Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD) is pleased to announce the search for the Best Mentor in Health Research Award for the year 2019.
The Award aims to recognize excellence in mentorship that instills passion among researchers resulting to enhanced relevance and productivity in health research. It also aims to reward mentors who have built the capacities of researchers in the health sector which led to significant advances in the Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) thrusts as identified in the National Unified Health Research Agenda (NUHRA).
The search is open to all Filipino citizen actively involved in mentoring researchers/students or colleagues for at least 5 years. Past winners cannot be nominated. Nominations can be made by heads of institutions, immediate supervisor/s, colleague/s, trainee/s, or student/advisee. Self-nomination is not allowed.
Each cluster winner (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and NCR) will receive a cash prize of P200,000.00 plus a plaque of recognition. The national winner will receive a cash prize of P500,000.00 plus a trophy.
Nominations should reach the consortium not later than January 11, 2019. Qualified nominees will be reviewed and short-listed by the consortium. Deadline of submission of short-listed nominees to PCHRD is on January 18, 2019. The recommendation form and guidelines can be downloaded in the PCHRD website (http://www.pchrd.dost.gov.ph/). Interested participants should use the prescribed forms. Any alteration on the forms is not allowed
The Philippine Health Research Ethics Board (PHREB) in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST- PCHRD) is organizing its 2nd Biennial Conference with the theme "Addressing Current Challenges in Health Research Ethics" on November 27-28, 2018 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).
The conference will be a platform for Research Ethics Committees (REC), researchers, research coordinators, policymakers, faculty members, and students of research to discuss the current situation, challenges, and advancements in research ethics.
Organized by the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) and the Philippine Association of Medical Journal Editors (PAMJE), co-organized by Zamboanga Consortium for Health Research and Development (ZCHRD) Endorsed by the Asia Pacific Association of Medical Journal Editors (APAME)
